About the Awards

 

The European Solidarity Corps Participation Awards are all about showcasing the fantastic work young volunteers like you are doing abroad, through European Solidarity Corps projects.

These awards aren't just about recognition; they're your chance to exhibit your cool volunteering journey to other young people across Europe. Let's spread the inspiration and get more amazing adventures started!

What do you need to do?

Create a one-minute video about your volunteering experience, upload it to YouTube Shorts, (see how) and then follow the instructions on the participation page to submit your application. It's as simple as that!

You can participate anytime between 8 April 2024 and 19 May 2024. The winners will be selected and notified in July!

Share your volunteering story with the world, keeping it authentic and inspiring. We're looking for stories that truly resonate and motivate others to embark on their own volunteering adventures.

A total of 10 winners will be selected. Five winners will be chosen automatically based on the number of views their video receives on YouTube, while the next five will be selected by the Jury. The top prize will be determined by the Jury, comprising a representative of the European Commission, a representative of the European Youth Card Association, and a member of EYCA's Youth Panel.

The Jury will be looking for:

• Engagement in terms of views, likes and comments.
• Creativity that stands out. 
• Personal videos that inspire others to get involved in volunteering.

What can you win? 

The 10 best stories shared will be rewarded with 2 Interrail passes each (7 days within a month pass - 2nd class). You can explore different European countries with a friend!

Additionally, the 10 winners will receive €400 each as pocket money to spend during their adventure, along with a small pack of ESC surprise merchandise.

Last but not least, the first-place winner, selected by the Jury, will also receive an awesome iPad Air!

The European Youth Card for European Solidarity Corps Participants

The European Youth Card Association, together with the European Commission, offer all young people volunteering abroad with the European Solidarity Corps programme a special edition of the European Youth Card as a thank you for your service. 

Your card gives you access to over 29,000 discounts and benefits on travel, culture, accommodation, transportation, sports, shopping and more. The card is valid in over 30 European countries and helps you spend less and experience more during your service.
